What is the Difference Between Jumping and Agility?

There are two types of dog sports that fall under the header of agility, to simplify them we call them Jumping and Agility. Jumping as its name implies involves Bar jumps and includes tunnels, tyres and broad jumps. Agility uses  all of the jumping equipment and also includes A frame, Dog Walk, See-saw (all contact items) for example all of the contact equipment has a painted section that the dog must place at least 1 paw inside. Agility also includes the weaver poles.

At this stage, due to the lack of instructors the club only runs an advanced handlers practice for the Jumping class.  Any beginners wanting to learn Agility or Jumping should contact one of the clubs listed in our newsletters or our Links page.
